Honey Comb 400g
The honey is delicious. Very floral in flavour. When I pack honeycomb, I do so in re-usable tins, lined with a homemade waxwrap, so you can be reminded of that delicious honey when you wrap your cheese up or take a sandwich to work. Most of the combs weigh more than 400g. This is the minimum weight.
My lovely bees work very hard. I like to try and make their work a little easier and more joyous by planting the best medicinal plants for them and ensuring they have food all year round. I never harvest until they have had their fill.
There is lots of good fodder beyond our garden, including a heritage orchard that we saved with the community a few years ago. Local gardens are filled with lovely flowers. Our neighbours are concienscious about wildlife and avoid weedkillers and pesticides. Of course, it is not all perfect and some will be used by the local farmer. He tries to minimise this and warns me when he is spraying.
If you are looking for style and presentation, move on. I do my best, but this is not my forte! If you're looking for good quality produce from plants and bees that have as organic a life as possible, you're in the right place. So please excuse my rough and ready hand made packaging and enjoy this beautiful honey and use and re-use the wax wrap and tin!

I harvest my honey in June and August. It is normally runny, but will go hard eventually -real honey does. If you would like it to be runny again, just warm it gently.
