Sunny Day Cream

from £13.00

My Sunny day Cream is very popular and smells wonderful. I use it during the Summer, including if I am swimming, fishing and gardening. I have tried it on ‘burny’ people in the river and it has fared better than their commercial factor 50 creams on a very sunny day. It contains oils and bentonite clay which protect against the sun. I have not had this tested for Sun Protection factor (SPF), so cannot make any proper claims about its effect in this regard.

The clay is conditioning too, and draws out impurities, so please make sure to wash your face in the evening.

This cream absorbs well and makes my face feel hydrated and smooth. I can work in the garden all day and not worry about the sun’s rays. Only once have I needed a re-application, and that was a very sunny day on a boat. The clay seems to help it stick to the skin, so the protection is akin to the clay used by the Namibian tribes who just use plain clay for sun protection.

My creams are designed to intensify the repair of skin cells, increase hydration and offer longer term protection for the skin cells, including against ultra violet light. The plants in my creams are integrated in many ways to maximise their presence, including oil infusions, hydrosols, essential oils and tinctures.

People have been really impressed by how makes their skin look and feel, especially when it is used with the seaweed serum I make (still undergoing verification, so watch this space).

Several people with skin issues such as rosacea and itchy moles have used it successfully to reduce or eliminate the problem. They have used it in combination with my Night Cream or with Moley Moley, which I designed to tackle itchy moles.

I spent a long time trying to work out how to integrate those expensive and really hydrating, repairing elements into my creams. Many of the raw materials come from sources I was not happy to use because of their impact on the environment. Eventually, I worked out that everything I wanted is in carrageen moss and I worked out to process it with excellent results. This gives a great hydration boost and contains many of those elements such as vitamin A and C, that boost collagen repair.

Over 70% of this cream is comprised of plant material from our garden. I feel really great about this. The other ingredients are sourced from as organic and ethical sources as possible, including the seaweed in it. This is important because many commercial sources of seaweed are destroying our kelp forests.

All my creams are packed with plant material and only have very ecological and mild preservative. This means they have a short life. So, once you have a cream, use generously and enjoy. Store in a cool place and out of direct sunlight to help them last a little longer.
