Sage Essential Oil
Sage Essential Oil
This is a very strong and complex oil. Sage is widely recognised for its effect on thermoregulation in menopause and for its antifungal properties for wounds. There is some evidence that it speeds up would healing via mechanisms such as anti-inflammatory and antimicrobial actions.
Other studies have shown that sage can reduce cholesterol and blood sugars, improve brain functions of memory and cognitive performance, and reduce throat pain and healing in throat issues such as tonsillitis and laryngitis.
In combination with peppermint oil, it has shown to prevent further spread of cancer cells in bowel cancer.
Sage should always be diluted in some form and used with care. For ingestion, the hydrosol is in a more accessible and safer form than the oil. This is also good for cooking, diffusers, etc. and often a more economical and easier to use option.

Harvested once the bees have had their fill, this pure form of oil from a primary distillation is the very best I have ever tried. Feel it between your fingers and you will immediately know the difference. Unlike commercial oils, it feels oily. The aroma is intoxicating.
Presented in green 5ml and 10ml bottles. My favourite is, yes -you guessed -green.
If you would like a larger volume, please get in touch. I am limited to what I can grow.
If you would like your own sage distilled, or another plant, that is always of interest and we can come to an arrangement so you can have your own essential oils and hydrosols. Please get in touch before July so I can plan ahead. I will need to check it is the correct plant and that I have the capacity to put through distillation.
