Coolio Cream

from £13.00

I made this cream to help a small boy manage his eczema. He had some good results, so I made a bit more for others to try. Many people have had success with this and told me it really helps to calm the itching, protect the skin and help it heal. Often, when people try it, I can see the instant relief on their faces, so they find it easy to opt for a big jar, rather than a small tin.

Used in conjunction with my Seaweed Serum seems to give extra cooling relief where eczema is very troublesome. The serum is very cooling (peppermint), and the carraigin moss offers hydration and cell repair. The cream contains these elements too, so the serum simply boosts the effect.

The protective effect is long lasting, which gives skin a chance of repair. Avoid washing for half the day if possible, or reapply if you need to wash.

I spent a long time trying to work out how to integrate those expensive and really hydrating, repairing elements into my creams. Many of the standard commercial raw materials come from sources I was not happy to use because of their impact on the environment. Eventually, I worked out that everything I wanted is in carraigin moss, hand harvested from the West of Ireland, and I worked out to process it with excellent results. This gives a great hydration boost and contains many of those elements such as vitamin A and C, that boost collagen repair.

Over 70% of this cream is comprised of plant material from our garden. I feel really great about this. The other ingredients are sourced from as organic and ethical sources as possible, including the seaweed in it. This is important because many commercial sources of seaweed are destroying our kelp forests.

All my creams are packed with plant material and only have very ecological and mild preservative. This means they have a short life. So, once you have a cream, use generously and enjoy. Store in a cool place and out of direct sunlight to help them last a little longer.
